Διέγραψε την Εθνική Τράπεζα το NYSE κουκουλώθηκε η είδηση

Το Χρηματιστήριο της Νέας Υόρκης (NYSE) διέγραψε από το ταμπλώ, απαγόρευσε τη διαπραγμάτευση, και ξεκίνησε διαδικασία για την εξαίρεση των μετοχών της Εθνικής Τράπεζας , κοινών και προνομιούχων, από τους δείκτες της, όπως αναφέρει με ανακοίνωσή του, από τις 27 Νοεμβρίου, αλλά τα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης απέκρυψαν την είδηση. Είναι καταπληκτική η επιτυχία κουκουλώματος της είδησης από όλα τα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, αν και όλοι οι δημοσιογράφοι το γνώριζαν αφού μεταδώθηκε από το Αθηναϊκό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων, ενώ την είδηση δημοσίευσε ακαριαία και το Μπλούμπεργκ.   

Η ανακοίνωση σημειώνει ότι το NYSE αποφάσισε «ότι η εταιρεία δεν είναι επιλέξιμη για διαπραγμάτευση, λόγω ‘αφύσικα χαμηλών’ τιμών των μετοχών (American Depositary Shares) της τράπεζας». ...

  

Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα του πρακτορείου Bloomberg, η αξία των μετοχών της Εθνικής στη Νέα Υόρκη μειώθηκε κατά 91% από την αρχή του έτους. Η διαπραγμάτευση των μετοχών της Εθνικής ανεστάλη σήμερα, όταν η τιμή τους μειώθηκε στα 16 σεντς, σημειώνει το Bloomberg.

Η Εθνική Τράπεζα έχει το δικαίωμα να κάνει έφεση κατά της απόφασης σε Επιτροπή του Συμβουλίου Διευθυντών του NYSE, στο μεταξύ ωστόσο η αρμόδια επιτροπή του NYSE θα αιτηθεί στην αμερικανική Επιτροπή Kεφαλαιαγοράς τη διαγραφή των τίτλων της ΕΤΕ.

Συγκεκριμένα η ανακοίνωση του NYSE στα αγγλικά έχει ως εξής:

“NEW YORK, November 27, 2015 – The New York Stock Exchange announced today that the staff of NYSE Regulation, Inc. has determined to commence proceedings to delist the American Depositary Shares (each representing one ordinary share) of National Bank of Greece S.A. (the “Company”) — ticker symbol NBG – and American Depositary Shares, Series A (each representing one Non-Cumulative Preference Shares, Series A) — ticker symbol NBG PRA – from the NYSE. Trading in each series of the Company’s American Depositary Shares will be suspended immediately.

NYSE Regulation determined that the Company is no longer suitable for listing based on “abnormally low” price levels of the Company’s American Depositary Shares, pursuant to Section 802.01D of the NYSE Listed Company Manual.

The Company has a right to a review of this determination by a Committee of the Board of Directors of NYSE Regulation, Inc. The NYSE will apply to the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist the American Depositary Shares and the American Depositary Shares, Series A Non-Cumulative Preference Shares pending completion of all applicable procedures, including any appeal by the Company of the NYSE Regulation staff’s decision”.The New York Stock Exchange is delisting American depositary receipts of National Bank of Greece SA after they lost 91 percent of their value this year.

The ADRs were suspended on Friday, when their value slumped to 16 cents from as much as $1.96 in February. NYSE cited an “abnormally low” price in a statement.

Losses spiraled to a record this month, after the Greek lender sold new shares at a more than 90 percent discount to market prices. The nation’s four largest banks have been raising capital to help fill a 14.4 billion-euro ($15.3 billion) hole in their accounts identified by the European Central Bank.

National Bank of Greece has the right to appeal the decision to a committee of the board of directors of NYSE. The stock in Athens closed at a record low of 8 euro cents, taking its weekly slump to 64 percent.
